May was a beautiful reflection of sisterhood, service, advocacy, and wellness for the women of Alpha Gamma Chi Omega.

From honoring our treasured legacy families at our May chapter meeting, to celebrating membership and reconnection through our reclamation event, to supporting the men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. at their 78th Second District Conference — this month reminded us of the power of community and shared purpose.

We also walked with intention through the Unity Wellness Walk and the National Alliance on Mental Illness walk, helping raise awareness for mental health and the importance of caring for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit.

And we proudly capped the month by co-hosting a candidates forum, creating space for civic engagement, informed dialogue, and community empowerment.

Stronger together. Rooted in service. Committed to wellness and impact.

The ladies of ΑΓΧΩ proudly hosted Mortali-tea, a meaningful and impactful gathering dedicated to raising awareness and fostering dialogue around Black maternal health.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Dawna Dilworth-White, who delivered a powerful and informative presentation on perinatal, maternal, and reproductive health—equipping our community with knowledge, resources, and advocacy tools.

We encourage our community to stay informed, ask questions, and advocate for equitable care. Black maternal health outcomes must improve—and it starts with awareness, education, and action. Share this information, support Black mothers, and engage in conversations that can save lives.

Together, we can create a future where every mother is heard, valued, and cared for.

As we prepare to celebrate our first Charter-versary, we pause to reflect on the beauty of our journey—Proud Pearls to Alpha Gamma Chi Omega -one that mirrors the creation of a pearl.

A pearl begins with a grain of sand—something small, even uncomfortable—yet through time, care, and perseverance, it is transformed into something radiant and priceless. In much the same way, our chapter, ΑΓΧΩ, was formed through vision, dedication, and the collective strength of phenomenal women committed to service, sisterhood, and excellence.

Layer by layer, we have built something meaningful. Through fellowship, impactful programming, and unwavering support for one another, we continue to evolve—polished by purpose and strengthened by unity.

As we approach this milestone, we celebrate not just a year of existence, but a foundation of legacy in the making.

Here’s to the beauty we’ve created—and the brilliance still to come.

Our AGCO members had an amazing time volunteering at Delegate Toles’ Eggstravaganza, helping bring smiles, laughter, and a little extra joy to families in our community. From organizing activities to connecting with local residents, it was a day full of purpose and fun.

Being a strong community partner means showing up, lending a hand, and making a difference where it matters most—and we’re grateful for every opportunity to do just that.

Looking forward to many more moments like this! 🐣🌷
