Welcoming Professor Georgia Malandraki to the Beckman Institute as a part-time faculty member! Her research consists of using rapid MRI scans to uncover brain-body patterns that can improve care for swallowing disorders. Having also completed her Ph.D. at Beckman in 2008, this is a full circle moment for Malandraki.

Her research uses rapid magnetic resonance imaging scans to identify biological patterns between the brain and body for improving diagnosis and rehabilitation of swallowing disorders in patients after a stroke or with Parkinson’s disease.
