Celebrate Quinn's Birthday on 4/28!

"The Quintessential Engineer," located outside the Micro and Nanotechnology Laboratory on the north Engineering Quad, is the product of a campaign started five years ago by Engineering alumna Sakshi Srivastava. The statue was created by Chicago sculptor Julie Rotblatt-Amrany and was financed by Texas Instruments (TI) to hopefully inspire both current and future female engineering students at the University.

Celebrate Quinn's 5th birthday with us on Thursday, April 28, 2022 4:00pm-5:00pm at Holonyak Micro & Nanotechnology Lab Atrium on 208 North Wright Street, Urbana.

Congratulations to bioengineering junior Mia Takekawa for being named the Gymnast of the Week by the Big Ten Women's Gymnastics! She's won six event titles, including both all-arounds in two meets last week and is the first Illini gymnast to ever record two perfect 10s in her career.

Happy International Women's Day!

Today at 3:30 pm, Professor Judith Liebman will be honored amongst "13 Women Who Changed the World: Untold Stories"

Judith Liebman became the first woman on the CEE faculty in 1972, at a time when there was only one other woman faculty member in the College of Engineering. Liebman's original appointment was split between CEE and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (which is now Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering, or ISE)
