The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign, founded in 1971, offers a complete four-year medical education program leading to an M.D. which offers students the opportunity to study medicine while diversifying and developing an education in other fields as well. For example, students have expanded their studies into fields such as bioengineering, neuroscience, veterinary med

icine, and humanities to name a few. The first-year basic medical science program also serves those students who will complete their last three years of medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine campuses in Peoria, Ill.
