📚 New Title Tuesday: “Democracies & Authoritarian Regimes” by Andrea Kendall-Taylor, Natasha Lindstaedt, and Erica Frantz.

FROM THE BACK COVER:
Democracies and Authoritarian Regimes addresses the political dynamics that are shaping the competition between democracy and authoritarianism. The book covers trends across the full spectrum of political systems, from democracy to dictatorship and the growing number of systems that fall between. It distills cutting-edge scholarship to explain how authoritarian regimes maintain power and how they lose it, how autocrats’ tactics are evolving, and the key factors that will shape democracies’ ability to surmount contemporary challenges. The book offers a diverse range of case studies and deep-dives into key concepts that make the material relevant to current events and policy debates.
