📣Student Spotlight📣Animal Science student and Study Abroad Ambassador, Essence Bartlett, is participating in the Summer Study and Intern Program at Chungnam National University in South Korea! Essence shared a bit about her experience so far:

"I've truly had an unforgettable summer here in South Korea. I've met so many amazing people from all over the world, learned more about Korean culture, tried so many delicious foods, and experienced things I never thought I would. Some of my favorite memories include attending the Waterbomb Festival, learning how to play a traditional Korean instrument, and exploring different cities and attractions. Overall, this experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I'm so grateful for everything I've had the opportunity to do."

This program is open to students in any major and includes an optional two-week research internship if you would like to get experience in a lab setting.

You can learn more about this program at app.studyabroad.illinois.edu or by emailing [email protected].

Having the opportunity to collaborate with conservationists who are super passionate about this line of work, and observe the effects of this kind of work up close and firsthand has definitely strengthened my commitment to finding sustainable solutions when it comes to conservation policy work.
