🎓🎉 Congratulations to the newest group of P-TECH OHM alumni!

Eighteen new members joined an ever-growing group of Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH OHM) alumni when they graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) on May 15. 👏📚

Through P-TECH OHM’s accelerated high school and college curriculum, these students have earned both their high school diplomas and an associate degree, positioning them for success in college, the workforce and beyond. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their communities and careers. Congratulations, graduates, and may your future be filled with continued success! 🎓✨

🏗️ The MVCC Applied Technology Center has come a long way since our last update — and this aerial view says it all. Thanks to Trustee Dr. Frank Dubeck Jr. for capturing this incredible shot!

Rising between Payne Hall and the Jorgensen Center on our Utica Campus, the Applied Technology Center is scheduled for completion in late December 2027. The two-story, 63,760-square-foot facility will be home to cutting-edge labs, modern classrooms, and collaborative workspaces built to train the skilled professionals our region needs most.

Apprenticeship programs are transforming the workforce — allowing workers to earn as they learn, filling critical labor shortages, fueling growth in advanced manufacturing, and helping employers develop talent from within.

As a regional apprenticeship lead institution, MVCC partners with more than 35 employers to train nearly 100 registered apprentices each semester, spanning fields from manufacturing and healthcare to accounting — all shaped around what local companies actually need.

From special education classrooms in rural Missouri to manufacturing plants in central New York, apprenticeship programs and their higher ed partners are helping workers earn while they learn, fill critical labor shortages and build careers close to home.
