This page is to promote global health in the local community, amongst students, and people around the globe. The Global Health Program coordinates all global health related activities—academic, research, and practice—at TUCOM. It:
-Promotes the development of global health related courses in the school curriculum at TUCOM;
-Coordinates third and fourth years elective rotations in Asia, Africa, an
d Latin America
-Organizes public health global health track field study course with the Public Health program;
-Administers and regulates students activities at Touro affiliated international sites for clinical rotations, summer internship and field study
-Offer summer internships and clerk ships in low and middle income countries (LMIC) ;
-Further develops the TUCOM network of medical institutions in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and collaboration with scholars and health professionals in these regions;
-Assess the educational value of global health in the curriculum.
-Provide opportunities for students to conduct service projects in collaboration with appropriate organizations within Low and Middle income countries (LMIC) ; and
-Delivers lectures, symposiums, and activities related to global health to the campus community
