🔷 Student Doctor Spotlight 🔷

Heidi Molga, OMS-III

Hometown: Laguna Niguel, CA
Undergrad: UC Santa Cruz - Neuroscience

🔹 What makes you excited to be a physician?
I’m excited to be an osteopathic physician because our unique education allows us to treat and heal many common illnesses and symptoms with osteopathic manual manipulation! I also am excited to share medical knowledge with patients in an approachable way. Through connection and communication , I hope to empower my patients with the knowledge and resources necessary to achieve and maintain optimal health.

🔹What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve ever received (as cheesy as it may sound) is to be the main character of your own movie.

🔹How do you Self Care?
Self care for me includes working out (long trail runs, rock climbing, or even just gym time), bubble baths, applying high quality skin care products, and journaling/ gratitude meditations.

🔹What is your favorite activity outside of studying?
Camping, hiking, or anything outdoors.

🔹What is one of your life goals?
My life goal is to improve access to basic human rights including housing, organic food, and health care to as many people as possible.

Every year the Pediatrics Club, with the help of amazing Touro student volunteers, put on Mini Medical School for local elementary schools. 🩺

This year Touro students worked with two 4th grade classes at Browns Valley Elementary School in Napa.

The 4th graders had the opportunity to:
• learn about the organs and attempted to blindly pin them on the body
•see a real brain and play brain twister
•compete to see who could guess how much sugar is in drinks
•learn how to prevent the spread of germs
•listen to their hearts
•practice being mindful with some yoga

Fantastic work !!
