This summer, we had the honor of celebrating Black excellence, achievement, and the promise of what’s ahead. 🎓💗💚

In June, the Kappa Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® proudly celebrated our local graduates during the African American Graduation Celebration—recognizing students whose hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments brought them to this special milestone.

Though the caps have been tossed and summer has come to an end, these moments are still worth celebrating. Each graduate represents a story of determination, a family and community that helped them along the way, and a future filled with possibility.

When young people experience trauma, caring adults can make a meaningful difference by recognizing signs of stress, offering support, and connecting families with helpful resources.

We encourage parents, caregivers, educators, and community members to learn more about how to help children cope and heal. Please see the flyer for additional information from the National Institute of Mental Health.
