HAPPY (almost) DDAYS!!

This year’s theme is “Through the Decades,” a special tribute to the rich history of Dakota Days. We’re excited to see how you’ll bring this theme to life in your float!

To register, simply visit https://yote.us/ddaysparaderegistration and complete the form by Sunday, September 29, 2024. We’ve made a few updates to the guidelines, so please take a moment to review them.

The entry fee is $25. If you’re part of a USD student organization or department, you may be eligible for a discounted rate—feel free to reach out to us for more information at [email protected].

Happy Unite for USD!

We're excited to kick off Unite For USD 2024 the University of South Dakota's 24-hour challenge to unite Coyotes across the world to celebrate our university Office of Multicultural Affairs is one of the featured initiatives this year. Raising money for our initiative will support programming and growth for the 2024-2025 OMA. Reaching 20 donors will unlock $5,000 from a generous anonymous donor:

20 Donations- We unlock $5,000 from an anonymous donor!

30 Donations- Marcus will get pied in the FACE!

40 Donations- Marcus will get into a bear costume in collaboration with Spirit Teams during the basketball game on Saturday!

50 Donations- Marcus will participate in the Polar Plunge Challenge!

100 Donations- If OMA and Spirit Teams both receive 100 donations, Marcus Destin will go into a stunt with the USD Cheer Team at the basketball game on Saturday!

Join us to celebrate Black History Month as the Coyote's take on the Oral Robert's at tomorrow's basketball game! Student leaders, staff, and organizations will be recognized, "Lift Every Voice and Sing" will be performed, and trivia will be shown!

Tomorrow at 1:00 PM the University of South Dakota and the Office of Multicultural Affairs will celebrate its the 2nd Annual Black History Celebration Game. During the morning, the OMA has partnered with USD Admissions to bring local high school students to campus for a resource fair, a campus tour, and a student panel. Prospective students will then attend the University of South Dakota Men’s Basketball Game against Oral Roberts at 1:00 PM.

As part of the celebration, the USD Men’s Basketball Team will wear “Celebrating Black History” warm up shirts. Prior to tipoff, the USD Chamber Singers will perform the Black National Anthem “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and the National Anthem will be sung by Ntombi Ngeleka, the Social Media Chair for Union of African American Students.

Other celebrations throughout the game will include a live DJ, a halftime step group performance by the Omega Psi Phi Inc. Tau Kappa Chapter, and recognition of our student leaders, organizations, and faculty and staff. We will also be honoring Professor Shirley Mays as one of the professors of the game.
