Hi the African Student Association community and Friends, you’re invited to participate in our first outdoor event for the Fall 2020 semester. Our welcome party comes up on October 8, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the MUC open patio. While observing strict COVID-19 safety rules, we assure you all of a fun filled evening with good foods, music, games, etc.

ASA members, congratulations on completing this year. Even though we could not finish on campus together, we are grateful for everyone that helped out and supported our events this year. That being said, we are excited to introduce the ASA Executive Board for the 2020-21 year!

A message from Ashley Charlie Presidental nominee:

I hope all is well through this hard time that we will get through! I want to start by saying thank you so much for all the votes on becoming ASA President for the academic school year of 2020-2021. I am truly grateful. Serving this organization in every way shape and form was truly a privilege and has taught me so much that I will keep with me. Sadly, I am here to inform you that I am removing myself from this year's ASA candidacy race. I went into this thinking that I can fulfill the vision and desire this past exec had in mind, but I cannot because it does not give space for these fresh and beautiful minds a chance to implement their visions with full effect. Although this is sad for others and myself, I've learned when you have gathered the tools needed, it is time to move on, so others can learn incredible skills I obtain to this day, and that is exactly what I am doing. I say all of this to say its time for others to grow, so Thank You once again and know I will always be close by for any help needed.

Don’t forget tonight at 6 pm we will be holding a Q&A for all executive member nominees to meet and talk to African Student Association members. We will start by having all nominees introduce themselves and talk about why they want to run, and what you will bring to this organization. This is your opportunity as members to ask questions and get to know your future executive members!

The meeting will run from 6 pm-7 pm, so plan accordingly
