Many of you have reached out to me to ask whether we are doing another book club and we are! I am excited to share that this October we will be reading From the Skin: Defending Indigenous Nations Using Theory and Practice, edited by J. Jeffrey Clark and Elise Boxer.

Discussions will be on Thursday Oct. 2, 16, and 23 in East Hall 220 from 4:00-5:00 PM. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Please come to any or all of the session. Everyone is welcome!

J. Jeffrey Clark will be speaking at the Vermillion Writing and Literature Conference October 9-11, 2025 and we want to make sure you’ve had a chance to read his chapter before attending his presentation. Elise Boxer, co-editor, will also be joining the discussions.

On Thursday, October 3, join faculty in Communication Studies, Criminal Justice, English, Philosophy, and History as they discuss gender theory, what it is, where it comes from, and why it is under attack.
