We are so proud of USD CSD SLP lecturer Shelly Grinde!! She was recognized for her contributions to the SLP profession at the SDSLHA convention with the Honors of the Association award. The Honors of the Association recognizes a SDSLHA member for their distinguished contributions to the discipline of communication sciences and disorders and is the highest honor the Association bestows. The award recognizes those individuals whose contributions have been of such excellence that they have enhanced or altered the course of the professions. Join us in letting her know what an inspiration she is to all of us.

It was a whirlwind trip with lifelong impacts! SLP grad students Katelyn Frank, Kirstyn Miller, Mikelle Block, and Christa Kirchmeier, along with Dr. Liz Hanson, completed more than 40 speech, language,and hearing screenings at Rosebud Elementary in Rosebud, SD this week. Besides the fun of meeting all the kids, a highlight of the trip was racing a herd of mule deer on the early morning drive.
