Under the direction of Jessie Daw, Ph.D., the chair of the Division of Kinesiology and Sport Management, a University of South Dakota team delivered tennis programming in Wagner, South Dakota, to deliver tennis programming as part of a July camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

USD faculty participants included Tanya Liu, DPT, assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Clare Maness, Ph.D., assistant professor of sport management in the Division of Kinesiology and Sport Management. Student participants included Taylor Byerly and Corbin Carda, both of whom are majoring in KSM with a specialization in exercise science.

One of the highlights of the summer just wrapped up at the University of South Dakota School of Education!

Each year, the USD School of Education hosts a week-long summer program for gifted and high-achieving students entering grades 6–9. The program gives students the opportunity to explore their interests, build on their strengths, and make lifelong friendships.

From engaging classroom experiences on campus to memorable activities throughout the community, campers and counselors shared a week filled with learning, laughter, and lasting memories.

Thank you for spending part of your summer with us—we can’t wait to see you all back as coyotes in a few short years!
