Hallo Leute! I just wanted to put in a plug for my German in South Dakota 492 Seminar this semester. This class provides opportunities for students to improve their language skills while learning about the history of German heritage in South Dakota and the United States. Students will have opportunities to pursue their own research interests, even taking field trips to local museums. We'll be talking about some topics you don't get to discuss in most German classes, such as dialects, German folk music, the German image of America in literature, Kuchen, witches, and American hostility toward Germans during the world wars.
