We have an exciting September Attendance Challenge for our Bears!

Students who are at school every day, arrive on time, and stay for the entire school day will earn an invitation to a special A&M–Victoria Jaguar Baseball Meet & Greet on September 25th!

Qualifying students will get the opportunity to meet the players, talk with them, get autographs, and spend some time with the Jaguar Baseball team! ⚾🐆

🏆 Earn your spot at the Meet & Greet!

*Students who have an early checkout with a doctor’s note will still qualify.

We are SO excited for our 1st Annual Grandparents Day Parade! 🚗

📅 Friday, September 11, 2026
⏰ 8:45–9:15 AM

Grandparents, decorate your vehicle, make a fun sign, and get ready to parade around campus while your grandchildren cheer you on! 🥰 Our Bears can’t wait to see you!

Please check out the attached flyer and parade route map for all the details. We kindly ask that vehicles do not begin lining up before 8:15 AM.

And while we have your attention, mark your calendars for Open House on September 15 from 5:00–6:30 PM. We’d love for you to come meet your grandchild’s teacher and visit our campus!

We can’t wait to celebrate the amazing grandparents who mean so much to our little Bears! 🐻❤️

🔬🧲 5th Grade Scientists in Action! 🧪💡

Our 5th graders had an exciting week in the Science Lab exploring Properties of Matter!

Mr. DuBose did an amazing job bringing science to life! Students made predictions, observed live demonstrations, and then put their thinking to the test through hands-on investigations. They explored different materials to determine which were magnetic or non-magnetic and investigated which objects and liquids would sink or float.

We love seeing our Bears thinking, predicting, testing, and discovering! Learning is always more powerful when students get to experience science for themselves! ❤️🐻

Victoria ISD families are invited to join us for 2026–27 Open Houses! Campus Open Houses give parents and guardians an opportunity to visit their child’s campus, meet teachers and staff, explore classrooms and learn more about the programs, expectations, and resources supporting students this school year.

📣 Calling all future West Warrior Cheerleaders! ❤️🖤

West Cheer is hosting their Little Warrior Cheer Clinic on Saturday, September 19, and we would love to see some of our students join in the fun!

Participants will spend the morning learning cheers, jumps, and dances with the West Cheerleaders and then show off what they learned at the Parent Showcase at 11:30 a.m.! 📣✨

📣 Parent Showcase: 11:30 a.m.
💲 Early Registration: $50 by September 12 and includes a camp shirt
💲 After September 12: $60

Whether you have lots of time to volunteer or just want to stay informed, everyone is welcome at our PTO meetings. Parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, and anyone who wants to support our students—we’d love to see you there!

Joining the PTO is a great way to:

Schorlemmer Elementary earned a B for the 2025–2026 TEA Academic Year! This accomplishment is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and determination of our incredible students and staff.

We are proud of what we have accomplished, but we aren’t finished yet! We are ELEVATING TO EXCELLENCE and have our sights set on that A! 🌟
