For National Children's Month, Nursing's Mid-Atlantic Center for Children's Health and the Environment has created a webinar series highlighting environmental risks though a childhood development lens. Grow your knowledge and skills with the Peripheral IV Insertion and Management Workshop, this Thursday, October 13 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Driscoll Hall, Villanova University. This workshop incorporates the Infusion Nurses Society (INS) 2021 Standards of Practice. Content includes criteria for vein selection, vein location and identification, selection of supplies and equipment, and potential complications of IV therapy. A review of developmental considerations for pediatric patients will be presented. Information on legal aspects, malpractice insurance, and proper documentation will be included.
