It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of William “Blake” Driskell’s sudden passing.
Blake pledged Kappa Sigma in the spring of 2023 and he was a part of the “RSN” pledge class. Throughout his time in Kappa Sigma, Blake served as the Head Social Chairman, a Homecoming Float Committee Chairman, and a Junior Executive Committee Guard. Blake graduated from Baylor in the spring of 2026 and was pursuing his Master of Accountancy at Baylor.
In sharing memories of Blake, his brothers describe him as the smile of the room. He was always there to make someone laugh and he consistently made the time to notice every single person around him. Blake was also an incredibly hard worker, and a true leader that constantly worked behind the scenes for the fraternity without seeking anything in return. During his time as a fireman at Baylor he would tell his brothers “I just do it because I want to help people”. Blake was one of the most selfless and positive people, with the humblest of hearts, and the brothers of Kappa Sigma all strive every day to be close to the man he was.
Blake will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In honor of Blake’s life, the family will hold a memorial service on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Baylor University’s Hurd Welcome Center.
