Last week, our faculty and instructors attended the 2026 Teaching Innovation Symposium: Teaching with AI. Our department was also one of the organizers of the event and facilitated the keynote sessions. The symposium held presentations and discussions centered around the topic of AI which is prominent on the minds of many in higher education right now. The sessions included information on how AI influences teaching and learning, debates on AI use in the classroom, ways to encourage intelligent use of AI by students, and methods of teaching with excellence. Participants came away with insight on the current relationship between AI and education and tools to equip themselves for the future as this relationship is rapidly expanding.
