The countdown is ON! ⏰ In just 10 days, college students across our Waiʻanae Moku community will be heading back to campus, logging into classes, opening those laptops, and getting back into the college grind. 💻📓

Whether you’re starting your first semester, continuing your journey, transferring, working toward your degree, or getting closer to graduation—this is another season to learn, grow, and keep moving forward. 🎓✨

Waiʻanae Moku came together for a special Lei Workshop, creating beautiful handmade lei for our graduates to wear proudly at their commencement ceremony. Every flower woven carried love, support, culture, and the spirit of our community.

Congratulations to all of our graduates — may these lei remind you that your village stands behind you every step of the way. 🎓🤍

Leeward Community College students and staff travelled to Waikiki to see a live performance of Cirque du Soleil ‘Auana. Pictured with our moku ohana is John Signor, the musical director who also taught music courses on our campus.

“Learning what it takes to build a place of home and belonging — together.”

During this visit, we shared the story of how Wai’anae Moku became a place rooted in community, culture, and belonging. In return, we learned about their vision of creating a similar space for Native American students. Through hands-on experiences like beading and lei making, we exchanged traditions and strengthened our understanding of what it means to build a school that truly feels like home.

We are currently exploring interest in offering an American Sign Language (ASL) non-credit course this Summer 2026. Open to students, community members, and anyone interested in learning!
