ALERT: Mt. SAC Limiting Operations on Monday

Mt. San Antonio College is actively monitoring Tropical Storm Hilary and its impact on the region. By all accounts, the campus is weathering the storm well thanks to proactive measures taken by the Facilities and Campus Safety teams. After carefully considering local conditions, storm projections, and the state of the college, Mt. SAC will limit its operations on Monday, August 21, 2023. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution and to support emergency operations in the area. The safety and well-being of employees, students and the community is our priority. College business is expected to return to full operations on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

LIMITED ON CAMPUS STAFF
• Managers and essential personnel will be on campus and provide limited in-person support. If you are directed to work on campus by your supervisor and are unable to attend, please notify your supervisor.
• For employees, your leadership team will reach out about your expectations for work on Monday.
• Most employees will be asked to work remotely and provide limited services virtually.

VIRTUAL SERVICES
• For students, many services will be available virtually. Visit the department website to learn more.

EVENTS AND PRACTICES
• Events and practices scheduled in-person at the college have been postponed.
• Details about those rescheduled events will be sent by the sponsoring office.

STAYING INFORMED
Mt. SAC Alerts provide emergency notifications via phone call, text message, and email. We also post information to our website and social media. You can check your emergency contact information by logging into the Mt. SAC Portal. Members of the community who do not have a Portal account, can receive text message alerts by texting MTSACALERT to 226787 (CAMPUS). Standard text message and data rates apply.
