Join us for “Making It Grow” on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 p.m. on South Carolina Educational Television.

Hosts Amanda McNulty and Terasa Lott of Clemson Extension welcome Clemson Extension Horticulture Agents Carmen Ketron and Nicole Goodman, along with Clemson Extension Forestry and Natural Resources Associate Tess Moody.

The South Carolina Orchid Society Show is an annual event that features regional growers, venders, and educational displays! Clemson Extension's Terasa Lott talked with Clay Owens of the South Carolina Orchid Society about this colorful event and learned more about the variety of orchids, including what the judges look for during the evaluation process.

Later in the show, Amanda sits down with Dr. Doug Tallamy, professor from the University of Delaware, author of “Nature’s Best Hope” and “The Nature of Oaks”, and co-founder of the Homegrown National Park initiative. Dr. Tallamy shares his insights on the vital role native plants play in supporting biodiversity and how individuals can make a meaningful impact right in their own backyards.

Don't miss this hour of inspiring stories, gardening insights, and expert advice from our panelists and special guests. Tune in Tuesday, September 1 at 7 p.m. on South Carolina Educational Television. We'll see you then!
