Save the date! The last culture show of the year is less than two months away!

This year’s theme is Finding Our Spark: Rather than focusing on all the chaos that exists around us, we must look inward to find that hidden spark that reminds us of who we are fundamentally. It is meant to invoke feelings of authenticity and nostalgia so that we can stand in our own spotlight. The magic behind finding that spark lies within your willingness to be yourself. Let’s find that spark!

Cultural Shows to Look Forward to in the Spring Semester 🗓️✏️

Mark your calendars! We’ve compiled a list of all the upcoming cultural shows for the spring semester. There are plenty of shows to choose from, so we’ve put together this post to help you keep track. It’s time to celebrate this semester and we can’t wait to attend as many shows as possible. We hope to see you there!

This Black History Month, let’s honor three exceptional leaders within the Black community - Fredrick Douglass, Angela Davis, and Ella Baker.

Fredrick Douglass was an eloquent abolitionist who challenged systemic oppression. Angela Davis fought fiercely against racial injustice and the prison-industrial complex. Ella Baker championed grassroots organizing and empowered young activists.

As we celebrate the incredible achievements of these remarkable individuals, let’s remember the strength, resilience, and leadership they embodied. Their stories serve as a powerful reminder that the fight for equality is ongoing and requires collective action.

In addition to celebrating these phenomenal figures, we’re excited to share that Brandeis University alumna Angela Davis will be leading a teach-in on Tuesday, February 6th from 10am - 11am. Hosted by the students of AAAS 130B “BLACK BRANDEIS, BLACK HISTORY,” the event will take place in the Mandel Center for the Humanities forum ().

Let’s celebrate their incredible achievements and remember that the fight for equality is ongoing. Happy Black History Month 🖤✊🏽🌟
