Brandeis Global Brigades Brandeis Global Medical Brigades is a student run non-profit organization founded in 2011 at Brandeis University.

Brandeis Global Medical Brigades was founded in 2011 at Brandeis University and represents a student run chapter of the national organization of Global Brigades. Our mission is to improve the quality of life in underprivileged and impoverished areas in Central America. To achieve this goal our group has been organizing annual clinic trips to rural areas of Honduras to provide health care and susta

inable preventative health education. The national organization of Global Brigades was founded in 2004 and works towards sustainable holistic community development in Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and most recently Ghana. Originally serving to provide clinical health care in Honduras alone, the national organization of Global Brigades has branched out to offer 9 different programs in community development. These programs offered in the countries listed above are performed by over 12,000 student volunteers and employees, based out of more than 300 different university chapters in the US, Canada, and Europe.

If you are interested in gaining real-world experience in your desired field of interest, I strongly recommend that you look at my non-profit educational organization Planned Acts of Kindness. By applying holistic approaches to solving real world issues as well as through education, mentorships, and change, Planned Acts of Kindness allows for interns and volunteers to partake in programs, courses, books, games, events, and clubs all while gaining real-world experience and development of foundational skills required to not only make change in the world but also learn to be leaders and managers.
