National Defense University Alumni Reception

National Defense University alumni are cordially invited to attend the inaugural NDU Alumni Reception during the AUSA Annual Meeting on Monday, October 12, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. The reception will be held in the East Overlook Room at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

This gathering provides an opportunity for NDU alumni to reconnect with classmates and colleagues, meet fellow alumni from across the defense community, exchange ideas and experiences, and establish new professional connections. It is also an opportunity to strengthen the enduring relationships and professional networks that are a hallmark of the NDU experience.

We welcome alumni from across NDU’s colleges, programs, and graduating classes to join us for an evening of conversation, networking, and fellowship.

All National Defense University alumni are welcome. We look forward to welcoming you to the inaugural NDU Alumni Reception at AUSA.

First, thank you for joining the WAR Network! We are approaching 300 members in just over one week, and our community continues to grow every day.

Help Us Improve the WAR Network

As we continue building this new member management platform, we want to hear from you. Our goal is to make the WAR Network a useful, relevant, and engaging resource for the entire NWC alumni community.

We will continue sending emails with important event notifications and invitations, while also adding events directly to the WAR Network to provide maximum visibility and opportunities for participation.

We welcome your ideas, feedback, and suggestions!

The National War College Class of 2027 softball team graciously invited Warrior alumni to Fort McNair on 29 August 2026 for a friendly game of softball.

In the spirit of mentorship, the Warrior alumni did their part to help sharpen the Class of 2027's skills by administering a polite, professional, and thoroughly convincing defeat—twice.

While the Class of 2027 may have enjoyed advantages such as youth, speed, stamina, and functioning knees, the alumni countered with experience, guile, and a healthy disregard for stretching.

Rumor has it the Class of 2027 is already considering a rematch before the Jim Thorpe Games in Spring 2027. The Warrior alumni stand ready.

Many thanks to the Class of 2027 for hosting a great event. Best of luck in this year's NDU President's Cup—we'll be cheering for you (and keeping our gloves handy).
