International Economic Relations Program - School of International Service The International Economic Relations Program offers Master's degrees in International Economic Relations and International Economics.

Graduate programs at American University's School of International Service offering degrees with a focus on economic globalization and international trade and finance. The MA in International Affairs: International Economic Relations (IER) at the School of International Service provides students an in-depth understanding of the market, political, and other forces that drive the economic globalizat

ion process, as well as of the private and public actors and institutions that shape international trade and financial developments and policies. Our students apply their knowledge of institutions, policies, and market dynamics to issues in international financial markets, global economic governance, economic security, economic development, and international business. Offered jointly between the School of International Service and American University’s Department of Economics, the MA in International Economics (INEC) prepares students who have previously majored or minored in economics for careers as international economists. INEC students graduate prepared to serve as international economists in multilateral organizations, government agencies, multinational financial and other corporations, public-advocacy firms, industry associations, and research institutes.
