Happening tonight 💚💄 When you look good, you feel good so we’ve paired beauty & wellness. Join the Alpha Beta Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® tonight for our Makeup and Mental Health workshop at the Washington School for Girls.

To prioritize holistic wellness, we will be collecting toiletry donations to create Mental Maintenance Kits for individuals in need in SE & SW Washington, D.C.

On this Memorial Day, we remember their courage, their commitment, and the enduring legacy of freedom they secured for generations to come. 🇺🇸

Under the leadership of our chapter president, Dr. Cherise Cole, we stand united as a chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®️, in remembrance—lifting up the families of our fallen heroes and reaffirming our commitment to service, community, and country.

It’s Prom Season✨

The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc®—Alpha Beta Upsilon Omega Chapter supported Southeast & Southwest D.C. students during prom season 2026 through our Prom Pop-Up Experience.

Special thank you to Sister Shauntell Pinckney () for your visionary leadership in championing this initiative, and special thank you to Sister Kim Demek (Kim Dee) for co-leading.

Sincere appreciation is extended to the men of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity() and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for their invaluable manpower 💪🏾, warm hospitality with breakfast and assisting our young men in our Dapper Dan men’s section.

Led by our Chapter Member, Mental Health Advocate & Clinical Psychologist Dr. A. Mechelle Haywood, this impactful session will explore the complexities of grief and its many forms.

This virtual workshop is free, open to the public and designed to educate, uplift, and empower participants to better understand mental health and support one another with intention.
