The chapter adheres to the sorority principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and the Ideal of Finer Womanhood. We are

a community conscience, action oriented organization that continues to strive for excellence through educational and volunteer events, academics and sisterhood. Our chapters members are strong and intelligent women who come from diverse backgrounds.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we will be highlighting important women who have made an impact on the world.

Zora Neale Hurston (1891- 1960), was a prominent American author, anthropologist and filmmaker. While attending Howard University, she became a member of our illustrious organization, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She is accredited with having started the University’s student Newspaper known as The Hilltop. She later became a distinguished activist during the Harlem Renaissance. She is greatly known for her fictional work encompassing the African American struggle. One of her most famous novels is “Their Eyes Were Watching God”.

Thanksgiving Highlight✨

Shoutout to Soror Dominiqué Robinson!! Soror Robinson is a Fall 2015 initiate of Sigma Pi and the Ace of CrossroadZ. During her time in Sigma Pi, Soror Robinson served as the chapter's Parliamentarian, Treasurer and Financial Secretary. She received her Bachelor's degree in Justice and Law from the American University and is currently hard at work on her MPA degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.

We want to thank you Soror Robinson for being a part of Sigma Pi's great legacy. We are so grateful to have you!💙🕊

Our next shoutout is for Spring 2006 initiate Soror Danielle Creek. Soror Creek is currently a real estate agent and she also owns a boutique consulting firm where she helps develop small business (www.fivepearlsconsultingfirm.com). And lastly but certainly not least, everyone please show her all the love because Soror Creek recently passed the Bar Exam and will be a licensed attorney in Washington, DC!!🎉

Thanksgiving Highlight✨

Our next Alumna Thanksgiving appreciation post is Soror Toddchelle Young, a Spring 2011 initiate of the Sigma Pi Chapter! Soror Young is also a Georgetown alum majoring in Sociology with a Population Health Certificate. She then went on to receive a Master in Public Health degree in Sociomedical Sciences with a Certificate in Social Determinants of Health from Columbia University.

Thanksgiving Highlight✨

We would like to shoutout Soror Elena Atkinson!! Soror Atkinson is a Fall 2008 initiate of Sigma Pi. This past August, Fall 2008 Sorors Akele Coffey, Felicia Meyers and Elena Atkinson got together in Mexico. After 10 years, their sisterly bonds are stronger than ever💪🏾

Soror Atkinson has also just started her own business that provides coaching to young researchers on how to publish their research in academic journals. With around two weeks left to Thanksgiving, Sigma Pi would like to give back this time of being thankful to our chapter alumna and highlight them in daily posts to show how much they mean to us💙🕊

Our first Thanksgiving Highlight is Soror Natasha Kaliski !! Soror Kaliski is a Fall 2007 initiate of Sigma Pi and a 2008 graduate from American University with a her BA degree in Justice and a minor in Spanish. She worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer in the DC area for seven years then returned to her hometown in Irvine, CA. Soror Kaliski now works at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) in the Mental Health & Counseling Center. She served as the Immediate Past Parliamentarian of the Phi Theta Zeta chapter in Gardena, CA and currently serves as the Undergraduate Advisor to Cal State University Fullerton. And her most recent accomplishment is being accepted as a 2021 candidate at UCI for her Master's of Advanced Study in Criminology, Law and Society.

Thank you Soror Kaliski for upholding the 'Sophisticated' in the Sophisticated Ladies of the Sigma Pi chapter and all your amazing work and accomplishments. We are so grateful for you!💙
