💙🤍 Welcome back CCT!
Last week, we kicked off the start of classes with a welcome back party for the CCT community! New and returning students, along with faculty and staff came together to celebrate, share food, and start the semester on a high note.

As our director, Dr. Jeanine Turner put: "The start of the semester is not just about classes beginning - it's about building a community where ideas and people connect."

We can't wait to see the ideas, projects, and new connections that this semester will bring! 💙🤍

Faculty Publication Spotlight!

We are excited to share Observed Correction: How We Can All Respond to Misinformation on Social Media, a new book by CCT professor Dr. Leticia Bode and co-author Emily K. Vraga of

This timely work explores how witnessing public corrections of misinformation online can improve how people understand complex issues. Their research shows that even simple corrections, when observed by others, can have lasting impact. This is a must read for anyone interested in creating safer, more informed online spaces.

Dr. Bode is a central figure in the CCT program at Georgetown, where she is teaching Content Analysis this fall. She also serves as the inaugural research director of the Knight-Georgetown Institute. Her research focuses on how media technologies shape political knowledge and engagement in evolving information environments.

We had such a wonderful time at the CCT holiday party last Friday. As the semester comes to a close, we just want to take a moment to say thank you to our wonderful community of Faculty, Students, Alumni and Staff. CCT would not be CCT if not for the incredible group of people who make up this program.

Have a wonderful holiday season!

Today wrapped up our second installment of the Student Success Series, “Getting Organized in Grad School.”

Each event featured three guest speakers who gave incoming students their best tips and tricks for staying organized and making the most of their experience here at CCT.

Thank you so much to our incredible speakers! We are so honored to be able to showcase our incredible students and all the ways they stay on top of their personal and professional goals.

A week ago today we hosted our first community development of the summer— a double feature of (you guessed it!) Aquamarine and High School Musical 2. We had such an amazing time hanging out with all of the CCTers in town for this summer and were so excited to meet some of our incoming students!

If you didn’t make it last week, don’t fret! More community events to come this summer! 👀🎬
