Join us for an American Forum discussion with Jim Obergefell, moderated by Professor Jane Hall, marking the 10th anniversary of the Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Court decision on marriage equality. Jim Obergefell was the lead plaintiff in the landmark case that legalized same-sex marriage nationwide and is co-author of "Love Wins: The Lovers and Lawyers Who Fought the Landmark Case for Marriage Equality." He is a self-described purposeful activist, dedicated to fighting for equality not just for the LGBTQ+ community but for civil rights for all.

🎬✨ Congrats to MFA student Emme Watkins on completing her thesis film, An Ocean in Bloom, in collaboration with NASA! 🚀🌊

Guided by Professor Maggie Stogner, Emme’s journey with NASA began as an intern in her first year at AU, and after four internships, she seized the chance to work on this groundbreaking project. The film focuses on the urgent environmental and economic threat of red tide, using NASA’s PACE satellite to capture its impact on our oceans.
