Students were certain to be captivated during the signature event at the National Museum of the American Indian as they had the privilege of being led by CIW Professor Nick Courtney, whose expertise encompasses American Indian and Alaska Native federal policy, political advocacy, and movement building.

What does engaged learning look like at Cornell in Washington?

CIW fall 2024 students visited The National Museum of African American History and Culture. They were led by Prof. Ron Christie, who had an important role in the development of the legislation for the museum.

Cornell in Washington provides students with the opportunity to learn outside of the classroom. This is achieved through various opportunities such as internships and exploring Washington, D.C. Students analyze and reflect on their work, gaining an understanding of the context and structures of the policy and political world.
