🎆 Happy Independence Day from the College of International Security Affairs! 🇺🇸

On this Fourth of July, we celebrate the founding ideals that have guided our nation for nearly 250 years—freedom, self-governance, and the enduring pursuit of a more perfect union.

At CISA, we are honored to stand alongside active-duty personnel, veterans, civilian national security professionals, and international partners who dedicate themselves to defending these principles every day. Whether in conventional operations or the complex realm of irregular warfare, their service reflects the very best of our shared commitment to liberty and security.

Our mission—to educate joint warfighters and civilian leaders in critical thinking and globally integrated strategy under disruptive conditions—has never been more relevant. As we mark this day of independence, we remain steadfast in preparing leaders to navigate the challenges of competition and conflict with courage and conviction.

Wishing you a safe and memorable Fourth of July!

We are excited to celebrate the achievements of our CISA-McNair graduates alongside the other colleges at NDU today! 🎓 This marks a significant milestone for our future national security leaders. This year has shaped not only their professional growth but also deepened personal bonds that will evolve as they move forward.

In the words of CAPT Gregory Soberanis, CISA Class of 2025, we look back on an amazing year together:

"A Remarkable Year"
Written by CAPT(N) Gregory Soberanis

Truly this has been a remarkable year
The gains are beyond what we can measure
The bonds of friendship that we have forged
Has now become a national treasure

Varied backgrounds, cultures, and languages
Yet this year our voices were the same
We were united in purpose, mission, and vision
And have ignited an eternal CISA flame

From Pittsburgh to New York, Harpers Ferry to Hawaii
Those experiences have enriched our lives
To CISA and ISMO we are forever grateful
For accommodating our children and wives

The bond of family was forged this year
As we supported each other through thick and thin
With words of encouragement we motivated each other
As we knew this was the only way to win

This year has truly impacted our lives
With memories and moments that will last forever
And I thank God every day for this moment in time
That He has brought us all together
