On June 19th, the American Friends of NDU's Washington DC Chapter hosted a summer happy hour at the Donovan House, a popular bar in town. About 30 friends, both old and new, were invited to come together for an early summer gathering, complete with good food and fellowship. In attendance were members of the AFNDU board, including President Chadi Dirani and Vice President Jennifer Matta and friends from California, Canada, and of course DC. Guests chatted about NDU, summer travel plans to Lebanon, and more.

Come enjoy the outdoor weather and the beautiful view of the city, from 6 to 9 PM, and connect with new and old friends.

On Thursday, October 17th, 2013, the American Friends of NDU (AFNDU), D.C. Chapter hosted a happy hour event at the Puro Cafe in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. The activity was the chapter's Fall kick-off event and which gathered alumni, friends, and board members in a beautiful and warm ambiance.

The event started with drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and mingling. Chadi Dirani, AFNDU's President, then gave a short speech to welcome the guests, talk about AFNDU's mission, and brief upcoming goals of the D.C. Chapter including a 2013 Christmas concert.

The event was a great success, with many new connections made and the gathering of old friends after the summer holidays. With many interested new members and a fresh perspective, AFNDU DC is re-energized and ready for a great 2013/2014 year!
