Beginning this year, American University will be considering every admitted international student for need-based aid.

This expansion of financial aid for international students reflects our belief that talent exists everywhere, and we are proud to take this step toward making American University more accessible to highly talented Eagles from all over the globe.

Do you intend to apply as an international student or have you already submitted your Common Application?

🔔 To be considered for financial aid, students will need to submit their Common App and then submit the AU Declaration of Finances Form in your applicant portal.

🔔 Want to be considered for our Emerging Global Leader Scholarship? Submit a separate EGLS application through your portal by January 15.

🔔 Admitted international students will be notified of their merit and/or need-based financial aid award along with their acceptance to AU this year.
