One week ago, we proudly welcomed students and faculty from Norfolk State University for an enriching visit to Howard University. The group—mostly international students of African descent—explored campus life, with a special stop at the College of Engineering and Architecture to meet current Bison engineers and learn about academic opportunities at HU.

Dr. Munir Sulaiman of NSU shared thoughtful reflections on the power of culturally affirming HBCU environments while Howard senior Chinaza Nwabufo offered a heartfelt story of finding community and belonging through the International Pals (iPALs) program.

The visit concluded with inspiring remarks from Dr. Tonija Hope on the global impact of HBCUs and their essential role in uplifting international communities. A beautiful day of connection, culture, and collaboration! 💚💛💙
