The Cathy Hughes School of Communications is thrilled to kick off a year-long celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of the Howard University Multicultural Media Academy.

As we mark this incredible milestone and five decades of excellence, we invite you to make a gift to continue this legacy.

The academy, which will run from June 20-July 3, is the longest-running program of its kind in Washington, D.C. It was founded by the late Wallace Terry, former Howard professor, award-winning journalist and author of "Bloods: An Oral History of the Vietnam War by Black Veterans."

This summer, our scholars will investigate the root causes of poor health outcomes in communities of color. Through mentorship, workshops, and real-world reporting, students will learn how to tell powerful, impactful stories.

Please encourage others to join you by sharing the link. Thanks for your time and support.
