Arts Management at AU Master's degree and Graduate Certificate Programs in Arts Management in Washington, DC. Director: Ximena Varela

For four decades, the Arts Management Program at American University has nurtured the toolkits and talents of extraordinary arts and cultural managers. We offer a comprehensive two-year master's degree with evening classes for active professionals, as well as graduate certificates in arts management, international arts management, and technology in arts management that can be completed independent

ly or in combination with the master's degree. Our students benefit from global collaborations, with Sotheby's in London, the U.S. State Department, major foundations, and executive education programs from around the world. And our network is powerful at home, with internships, partnerships, and placements among the DC-area's leading cultural institutions. Our distinctive strategy for student success is powerful:

- intensive curriculum refined by research and professional practice;

- world-class, full-time faculty, internationally respected for their thought leadership in arts and culture;

- a vibrant network of global professionals;

- hands-on learning with leading organizations;

- and program-wide commitment to individual student support and success.
