The Center for African Studies (CfAS) at Howard University is a Title VI National Resource Center and a campus-wide hub that supports and enhances Africa-related teaching and research.

In 2026, CfAS assumed the IMAU Secretariat, building on a Howard legacy established by Professor Emeritus Dr. Michael C. Nwanze and strengthening Howard University's role in global African affairs.
