Congratulations to Ana Lucia Araujo, Professor in the Department of History at Howard University, on her appointment as one of the five editors of African Economic History—a leading journal advancing scholarship on African economies across time and disciplines.

Please consider submitting a paper to the journal. Papers and reviews of books are accepted in English, French, and Portuguese.

They recently published a review of Dr. Benjamin's new book and Dr. Araujo is co-editing a forthcoming special issue "Africa and Capitalism: Connecting Economic, Material, and Visual Dimensions in the Era of the Transatlantic Slave Trade" that will be out later this year, and there will be a panel on this special issue at the next meeting of the African Studies Association in New Orleans.
