🌟In honor of Women’s History Month, Xi Zeta Omega is pleased to highlight a living legend, Dr. Jeanne Craig Sinkford, DDS!🌟
Pioneering Leader: Dr. Sinkford was the first African American woman Dean of any dental school in the nation, leading Howard University College of Dentistry for sixteen years, breaking barriers and setting a powerful example for future generations in dentistry.
Advocate for Education: Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Sinkford dedicated her career to education as a professor and dean emeritus, In 1979, she coauthored Profile of the Negro in American Dentistry.
Commitment to Diversity: As a trailblazer, she has been a staunch advocate for diversity and inclusion within the dental community, and was appointed director of the Office of Women and Minority Affairs at the American Dental Education Association in Washington, D.C.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated 🩷💚 and HBCU graduate, her legacy continues to inspire many in the world of dentistry! 🦷
