Dear Howard University Community,

Howard University President Wayne A. I. Frederick, M.D., MBA, recently sat down with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and alumnus Keith Alexander of the Washington Post for a WHUT special titled, . The conversation shed light on the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic in Washington, D.C. and Howard University

The special is available to view on Howard's Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XguHr65yuiE&feature=youtu.be and will rebroadcast on WHUT on Thursday, March 19 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

"I’d like to thank the entire Howard University community: students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends, for their flexibility to adjust swiftly as we do the same to adhere to the government regulations that are coming out with new guidelines and restrictions daily," said Dr. Frederick. "Every decision we make is with the safety and well-being of our entire bison community in mind."

During the conversation, President Frederick addresses how the administration has made critical decisions as the government hasamplified its guidelines for social distancing, learning about the first case of COVID-19 in the campus community and the decision to move online and plans for graduation activities.

Dear College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Community:
As you are aware, the search for a new dean of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences is underway. The executive search firm of B. E. Smith is conducting the dean search, in conjunction with the CNAHS Dean Search Advisory Committee, chaired by Dr. Leo E. Rouse, Dean and Professor of Clinical Dentistry. Finding and recruiting top decanal talent is very important to the University as we seek to maintain our continued commitment to academic excellence, top quality students, and providing health science educational programs of the highest caliber.
Part of the search process includes meetings with stakeholders and interested parties to seek their opinions on the type of candidates they would like to recruit, and what will be the major opportunities and challenges that person may face. Dr. Kathy Noland of B. E. Smith will be coming to campus next week, February 19-21, 2015 to conduct these stakeholder meetings and answer your questions. This will be your opportunity to provide input into the process.
The schedule is as follows, and all meetings will be held in Annex #1, Room 124.

The Howard University Alumni Association would like to send our prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery to Mya White (class of 2012).

She is the young lady that was shot during protests in Ferguson, MO. Not only is she a member of the Howard family, she is a member of the HUAA team. We can only hope that the situation in Ferguson can lead to something positive for our people.
