Our next PAC spotlight features Tristin Byrd!

Tristin shared her thoughts on the PAC program, “PAC has provided me more with opportunities and experiences than anything else in my four years at UGA. It’s more focused on the reality of the profession as opposed to just sitting in a classroom and learning about it. I would tell future PAC students to just do it. Get involved in everything the program offers-it’s so rewarding.”

Alongside the PAC program, Tristin is a fourth year journalism major with a political science minor. She’s also a double dawg, pursing her masters in PR. Tristin is involved in PRSSA and was a Home Deport Federal Government Relations intern this past summer in DC!

PAC applications close on February 28th, make sure to get yours submitted!

We are excited to feature Kendall Kelly as our first PAC profile! Kendall is a fourth-year journalism major with a political science minor, as well as both the PAC and news literacy certificates. She’s also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, a Levin Leader through the Cox Institute, and a former reporter and digital producer for The Oglethorpe Echo.

This past summer, Kendall interned with U.S. Army Cadet Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where she created multimedia content for a wide audience.

Reflecting on her experience, Kendall shared:
“I am so grateful to be a part of the PAC program. Going into the program, I didn’t know much about public affairs but wanted to pursue different opportunities that Grady had to offer. I have learned so much about the different niches in public affairs and gained connections with my peers and industry professionals. Because of PAC, I feel confident and well-equipped to succeed in a future career in public affairs.”

Apply now to join the PAC program through at link in our bio!
