Are you a first-year Muslim student at Howard looking to get more involved, meet your community, and make an impact on campus?
The Howard University Muslim Students’ Association is looking for two first-year students to serve as our 2026–2027 First-Year Representatives.
Your voice matters. As a First-Year Representative, you’ll serve as a bridge between the first-year class and the MSA Executive Board, creating opportunities for connection, sharing the concerns and ideas of your peers, and helping make sure first-year Muslims feel seen, heard, and welcomed within our community.
If you’re someone who listens, leads, cares about community, and wants to help shape the MSA experience for your class, we encourage you to apply.
One male and one female representative will be appointed.
Applications close October 11, 2026.
This is your opportunity to make your first year at Howard more than just a transition — make it a chance to build community and leave your mark.

This Friday, we had the honor of hosting the BMLC at our campus for Jummah 🕌. Yusuf Salaam, one of the Central Park 5 and councilman for New York City, gave us some words of wisdom after our khutbah💎. We hope these words resonate with you as well. Thank you so much for BMLC for this collaboration🫶🏽. May Allah continue to bless us, unite us, and strengthen our communities.
