Note from GEL:

GREAT NEWS! Georgetown won second place in the impact division of the kill the cup challenge!!! In October, our reusable cup rate was 5.1% which was above Starbuck's rate of 5.0%.

More than that, during the month of October, we increased our reusable cup rate by 65% compared to our baseline data.

Thank you so so much for all your help! This is a huge win for Georgetown sustainability. For all of you who submitted selfies with reusable cups, keep an eye out for an email about winning the grand prize, an iPad which should be announced in the coming weeks.

Keep using those reusable cups, especially needed during finals!

We have ONE more week of the competition left and Georgetown needs YOUR help!

Georgetown is a little further behind some of the other schools in the competition and we want to make one last push to win that $2,000!

Step 1: Bring a reusable cup to coffee shops
Step 2: Take a picture with that cup
Step 3: Send it in to killthecup.com.

This could be a really great chance for Georgetown to be recognized as a leader in environmental issues. Remember that you can win $50 and an iPad as well!

In good Halloween spirit, KILL THE CUP!
