Catholic University Office of Postal Services Here at the CUA Mail Room, we are both a Contract Postal Unit (CPU) and a student mail and package office. You may be wondering what exactly a CPU is.

Simply put, a CPU is a "mini-post office" which offers traditional postal products and services, only it is right here on campus. Our office offers stamps, pre-stamped envelopes, postal cards, Express Mail, Priority Mail, certified mail and registered mail. The CPU and Student Package Room are dedicated to receiving and distributing student mail and packages. We are constantly working hard behind

the scenes to make sure that you can pick up your mail and your packages in a timely and efficient manner.

All students must address packages and mail properly. We have packages sitting in package room because they are not addressed properly and we cannot find the intended recipient. The proper address format is as follows:

Residence Hall and Room # (and Suite Suffix for Opus/Millenniums/Curley Ct)

All students who are going abroad next semester must visit the Office of Postal Services before departure in order to fill out paperwork to have their mail forwarded to family or a trusted friend!

CHRISTMAS MAILING DEADLINE:

December 3: Last day to send Priority Mail International for Christmas Arrival

December 11: Last day to send Express Mail International for Christmas Arrival

December 15: Last day to send Parcel Post for Christmas Arrival

December 17: Last day to ship to military for Christmas Arrival (other than Parcel Post, which the deadline has long passed)

December 20: Last Day to send First-Class Mail for Christmas Arrival

December 21: Last Day to send Priority Mail for Christmas Arrival

December 22: Last Day to send Express Mail for Christmas Arrival.

Please be sure to tell family/friends/loved ones to use proper address format when sending mail to your campus address:

Omitting necessary information from the address will result in delay of mail delivery as postal service staff is required to look up information for proper mail delivery to campus addresses! Just addressing mail to 620 Michigan Avenue NE will result in delayed mail!!!

Some student mailboxes have mail in them that is months old. All students should be checking their boxes at least once a week for new incoming mail. If you need assistance opening your mailbox, please see a postal clerk or student worker.
