Celebrating 3 Years🎉

My journey at the University of the Potomac over the past three years has been both rewarding and inspiring. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to grow personally and professionally, build meaningful relationships with colleagues and students, and contribute to a supportive academic community that values student success.

One of my favorite highlights has been working closely with students and seeing them achieve their goals from their first day at the university to celebrating their graduation milestones. Being part of those success stories has been incredibly fulfilling. I’ve also enjoyed collaborating with such a dedicated and passionate team that continuously motivates me to do my best every day.

A quote my previous boss used that stuck with me is:
“I will light myself on fire with passion, and people will come to watch me shine.”

My advice to students and colleagues is to stay persistent, remain curious and open to learning, and never underestimate the value of kindness and teamwork. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth.

Celebrating 8 Years🎉

"Looking back on my years at the university, I find myself reflecting on the countless experiences, interactions and small victories that shape our work. Every semester brings new faces, new challenges, and new reminders of why this work matters. Every semester, we watch students grow, academically and personally, often without realizing how far they have come. Some of my favorite moments are the ones that happen between the big milestones: the unexpected conversation that stretches far beyond coursework, the satisfaction of watching a student recover from setbacks and move forward confidently, a student’s email announcing a hard-won A, the joy of seeing students who once struggled walk across the graduation stage. These moments stay with me, stay with all of us, and remind us why our work matters. And as I look back on this journey, I am also deeply grateful for the colleagues I have had the privilege of working with. I am thankful for the teamwork, the kindness, the support, and the sense of community that surrounds me."

If there is one truth about education I believe deeply, it is that it has the power to transform people and lives. Joseph Addison captured this beautifully when he said, “What sculpture is to a block of marble, education is to the human soul.” A passion for learning, combined with discipline and hard work, can turn raw potential into the fullest expression of who we can become, especially if the intellect, character, and talents are applied toward a greater purpose. It is a thought I hope will stay with the students throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Celebrating 8 Years🎉

Reflection of my Journey at UOTP
Over the past eight years serving as a University Registrar at UOTP, I have had
the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. The organization has
empowered me to strengthen my leadership skills by providing the autonomy and trust
needed to successfully lead my department. What stands out most about Potomac is its commitment to valuing employees, promoting from within, and encouraging individuals to recognize their own potential. It is an organization that truly understands the value of education, and that commitment is reflected in the care and support we provide to every student. I am honored to be part of a company that genuinely believes in its mission and
continuously invests in both its students and employees. Being able to grow alongside
this organization has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

Highlights/favorite Moments
One of the most rewarding aspects of serving as a Registrar is conferring degrees and
witnessing students reach the finish line of their academic journey. Seeing the
excitement and pride on their faces as they receive their degree is incredibly fulfilling.
Knowing that I played a role in helping students achieve their goals—through every
course registration, schedule adjustment, and grade posted along the way—gives me a
deep sense of pride and purpose. Supporting students through life’s challenges and
milestones while helping them stay on track toward graduation is one of the most
meaningful parts of my work.

Monday Motivation ✨

Progress doesn’t have one look — and that’s the beauty of it. Some days it’s showing up. Other days it’s balancing work, life, and learning while still moving forward.

Go at your pace. Every step counts, and every bit of progress matters. Keep growing — you’re closer than you think. 💙

Friday Smiles 😁
That feeling when things finally start clicking — even just a little. Between work, family, and everything else, finding your rhythm takes time. Then one day, something shifts. You feel more confident, and you realize: I got this. ✨
