Sixteen teams nationwide came to the nation’s capital in Washington DC for the 28th annual National Academic Bowl competition. The 16 teams portrayed strength, bravery, and knowledge here on the Buff and Blue campus at Gallaudet University. Congratulations to all the award winners!

Today, we'll be recognizing the winners within our ASL Poetry category. There was no theme for this category. Our middle school 1st place winner is Lily Boese from Indiana School for the Deaf! Lily is also the winner of the ASL Grand Prize! As the winner of the Grand Prize, Lily will get to choose from three prizes: an all-expense-paid trip to Gallaudet, free registration and transportation to one of Gallaudet’s Summer Youth Camps, or a $1,000 scholarship to Gallaudet University.
