Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) at Georgetown University offers an outstanding educational experience within one of the world’s leading academic and research institutions. Each year, BGE attracts nearly 800 exceptional certificate, master’s, doctoral and dual degree students to one of its 33 degree-granting or certificate programs in fields such as interdisciplinary basic and translational bio

medical science, health science, data informatics, policy, and ethics, and industry science. Our students have access to cutting-edge research in basic science and translational research, particularly in the areas of neurosciences, child health and human development, infectious diseases, and cancer biology with Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Georgetown University’s location in the nation’s capital provides unparalleled access to leading scientific centers, institutes and government agencies. Many of our graduates have established careers with the National Institutes of Health, the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, the Naval Medical Research Institute, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, Georgetown is located within minutes from Montgomery County’s I-270 Biotechnology Corridor, which is home to over 200 of the country’s leading biotechnology companies.
