Computer Science at HU The department offers a traditional B.S. degree in computer science, an accelerated 1-year M.S. degree in computer science, and a Ph.D in computer science.

The graduate certificate program prepares professionals in computer science and related areas to assume positions in secure systems development and managing the critical information security programs in today's organizations. program prepares highly competent and broadly skilled practitioners. A majority of the master’s graduates work in industry, in companies ranging from small start-up operations to government labs and large research and development corporations. The Ph.D. program prepares teachers and researchers for positions with universities, government research laboratories, and industry. Academic employment ranges from four-year colleges, where teaching is the primary focus, to positions at major research universities.

Where are you from? Newark, NJ and my family is from Haiti

What university do you attend? Howard University

Why are you interested in studying/working in Computer Security? I find it very interesting how malicious actors can cover their trades and infiltrate systems.

What work would you like to do in the future? I want to go to grad school and research new cybersecurity concepts and how I can apply them to the security infrastructure of developing countries. I also want to research neural networks.

What is on your bucket list? I want to live in Japan, revisit Palestine, learn to ride a bike, and own a diner/bar.

Fun fact? I have extensive TV and movie knowledge and I am a competitive bowler.

The last day to withdraw from a course or to complete a total withdrawal from the University is being extended from Friday, April 6, 2018 to Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students in good academic standing, are able to complete course withdrawals online via Bisonweb. Freshmen and Student Athletes are required to submit necessary documentation, which can be submitted through Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Please obtain necessary signatures by this revised deadline.
