UDC's School of Business & Public Administration

UDC's School of Business & Public Administration OFFICIAL page of UDC's School of Business & Public Administration. AACSB Accredited.

The School of Business and Public Administration is dedicated to supporting its students in the pursuit of excellence. Recent high school graduates and working professionals alike enjoy the support of an institution that is small enough to attend to their personal needs and achievement, but is large enough to take full advantage of the opportunities afforded by the University’s unique position in

the nation’s capital. The School encourages its students and faculty to apply their skills and knowledge to the urban challenges specific to the District and to envision how solutions devised can be applied elsewhere. In line with its mission to offer high quality opportunities for learning and engagement, our Business Management, Accounting, Finance Programs and MBA are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than 6% of the world's schools offering business degree programs hold AACSB business accreditation. SBPA’s Mission

To provide business educational programs that prepare our students to become impactful, ethical, and transformational leaders in their local, national, and international communities. SBPA’s Vision

To be recognized for excellence in achievements; providing innovative business programs; and producing successful and impactful leaders.

Congratulations to our SBPA students and team adviser, Dr. Ruonan Liu, who participated in the 2026 Deloitte FanTAXtic National Case Competition. Our students earned an Honorable Mention Award, through which the school will receive $2,000, and each team member will receive $250. 🔥❤️🙌🏾

The students had an exceptional learning opportunity and had the chance to meet and interact with Deloitte partners and professionals, demonstrate professionalism during the case consultation and final presentations, network with Deloitte representatives as well as students from other universities, and explore the Deloitte University facilities and gain insight into Deloitte’s recruiting process and firm culture. Wonderful job, Firebirds! We are so proud!

Staff: Staff should contact their immediate supervisor for questions and further instruction regarding remote work expectations.

Faculty: Faculty should reach out to their immediate supervisor and/or dean for questions and further instruction regarding the transition to emergency remote instruction (ERI). Students: Due to inclement weather, the university will be closed to face-to-face operations. Instruction will be moved to emergency remote, including synchronous and asynchronous methods. Certain laboratory, clinical, and other hands-on classes for which in-person instruction is a requirement, may necessitate a make-up lesson, but every effort will be made to pursue virtual learning to the extent possible. Where synchronous virtual instruction is intended, published class meeting times must be observed so that students’ schedules are not disrupted.

The safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and the broader community remain our top priority. We will continue to provide updates regarding the status of the university’s academic and administrative offices as conditions change.

Please continue to check our website and social media channels for the latest information.

If you have any safety concerns, contact OPSEM at 202-274-5050. For all immediate emergencies, call 911.
